This is resonating with a book I'm reading right now, to review for Library Journal. The title strikes me as both clunky and elegant: The Story of CO2 is the Story of Everything. There's a moment in an early chapter where the author describes discrete chemical reactions building bubbles around themselves so as to continue their reactions away from the hydrothermal vents that have nourished them. And I thought: ah.
